Company Background / History

JUMO Iberia is part of the JUMO Group, founded in 1948 by Moritz Kurt Juchheim in Fulda, Germany. It all began with the artisanal production of glass thermometers in a small workshop, driven by the founder's passion for quality and close customer service. The name JUMO carries his initials, and since then the company has grown alongside industrial evolution.

During Germany's "economic miracle," JUMO advanced from simple thermometers to platinum sensors and electronic controls, expanding across Europe with its first subsidiary in Belgium. In the 80s and 90s, it innovated with robots for temperature probes and automation systems like mTRON, while broadening into fluid analysis and new markets.

In Spain, the local story started in 1987 with JUMO SERCON in Madrid, established by the parent company to be closer to customers. After reorganization, it became JUMO CONTROL S.A. in 1999, with new facilities and ISO certification for probes and repairs. Today, as JUMO Iberia, it unifies Spain and Portugal, focusing on tailored solutions, sector-specific technical support, and Fulda's ongoing innovation to quickly meet industrial needs.
